Melissa Dias-Mandoly is a writer, artist, and designer living in Pittsburgh with her cat, Catrick Bateman. She’s the Design and Production Coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh Press where she spends most of her days designing books and proofreading.

She earned her BA in poetry and film at the University of Pittsburgh. As a student, she won the undergraduate poetry award in 2012 and 2013. She is a Home School alumnus and has been nominated for the Best of the Net anthology. Recently, she was a finalist for the Poetry Society of America Chapbook Fellowship, Submerging Writer Fellowship, Jake Adam York prize, and Noemi Press Book Award.

Her poetry has been featured in or is forthcoming from FreezeRay, Cordella,
Nat. Brut, Gesture, Hot Metal Bridge, PANK, Storm Cellar, and more. One of her cover designs was selected to be part of the 2019 AUPresses Book, Jacket, and Journal Show.
