Melissa Dias-Mandoly is a writer and artist living in Pittsburgh with her cat, Catrick Bateman. She’s the Production Editor at the University of Pittsburgh Press where she spends most of her days proofreading and designing books.
She earned her BA in poetry and film at the University of Pittsburgh. As a student, she won the undergraduate poetry award in 2012 and 2013. She is a Home School alumnus and has been nominated for the Best of the Net anthology. Recently, she was a finalist for the Poetry Society of America Chapbook Fellowship, Submerging Writer Fellowship, Jake Adam York prize, and Noemi Press Book Award.
Her poetry has been featured in or is forthcoming from FreezeRay, Cordella,
Nat. Brut, Gesture, Hot Metal Bridge, PANK, Storm Cellar, and more. One of her cover designs was selected to be part of the 2019 AUPresses Book, Jacket, and Journal Show.
